Friends,
I great to see how God makes a month longer, we had many things going on in the last September a we really need more time this month and really God let us accomplish a lot for him, we really praise his name.
Well let me share how this month was,
FEEDING PROGRAM
We are in our last month of school in Guatemala, this will be the last month of this year serving breakfast every morning, in November we will have our vacation camp instead and December our Christmas activities with al our kids, but is a bless see how the most of our kids have a very high average in their school and this guarantee they will pass for the next grade.
JUNGLE KIDS
The work on the villages where God sent us to work is going very well, the kids are growing better and the love of God is giving to them, we finish the school in Agua Caliente and we have many other projects running now.
PATRICK, PAULA & JACOB
We receive the visit of the Ballad family who come to help us with the paint in our retreat center, we are remodeling this one because our Vacation camps is getting close and we really want to have in neat condition, thanks to them we did a lot
MEDICAL TEAM
This month we have again the visit of the Healing the Children team lead for the Drs. Jennifer Hoock and Theresa Wallace, both have a great heath for our country and they come to take care of the health of our kids, parents and villages, they are cover 8 of our 16 villages, if someone is interesting in help us covering the other 8 you are welcome to join with us, they really do a professional and complete job.
PIWC TEAM
This was a very slow year for teams coming to help us in our ministry, but this month we was bless with 3 of them and the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church come to visit us and work in the last touch (we hope) of our retreat center, and by the way joint with the medical team because we are not enough, and even this bring us the idea to ask teams to join with our medical teams doing logistic work.
SEA TURTLES
Another great bless is to our teams are enjoy to see the sea turtles lead eggs in the beaches of Monte Rico, we know is not work done, but we want to share with all of you this great bless for us and for the teams.
PREGNANT WOMEN PROJECT
God let us begin to work this month with all the pregnant women, we got some prenatal vitamins and some nutritional drink and give for them, the mother dying in the childbirth and the kid to die is very high in Guatemala and even many of the kids to leave really have a very bad quality of life, they born with sever diseases, and put in our hearth begin to help the kids since the conception, in that way we will have healthier and smarter kids to grow with them, we have around 80 pregnant women distributive in the 16 villages, please if some of you feel like to help with vitamins, we have a very good price here in Guatemala, US$ 4.00 for 100 pills, please join with us for can keep this program running and we give 30 ponds (one per day) of one nutritional drink and the cost of this is US 1.00 per pound. We teach them the important to take the vitamins and the drink, they usually have many kids and they prefer to give the drink to the kids but we are encourage them to take care of the babe too, for know we are giving enough for them and the kids, but please pray we can keep doing in the same way.
VEGETABLE PROGRAM
We keep working in this program train each home begin to have their own crops and help with nutrition, check how there are doing
MARRIED RETREAT
At church God keep blessing us, we are growing faster we was planning, but this is good, we need more workers and God let us have our married retreat this month, we have 30 couples learning how God wants we do for be examples to our next generation and they have good ones for imitate, because some times is hard find examples for them.
BAPTISMS
Yes we have again baptisms, I told you and we had 18 new persons who want to show to the word their commitment to follow God and work for him, we have more of our kids getting this commitment too, maybe some of you who came one time will recognize one of this faces,
FAMINE
Like we shared with you the last month, a famine is over our country Guatemala, already hit around 6 states, but will hit more and very deep the other one the next year, the crops are extremely poor and they are harvesting just for the next 3 months but after this we will have a strong famine, our government is train to call the international help and we are praying they do it, but for our side we don’t want to be quit, our villages will be damage too, and we have a idea to share with you. We are praying many of you can put together a team for the months of February, March, April and May of the next year, and can help us to buy food for the villages, made some bags and go home by home showing the provision of God, our people love receive people like you in their homes, and in that way we can talk with the about God too, be with them in the right moment, and if you can set a team you can send your sponsor for buy this food and give to them. Please contact us and make this happen, we still have some month to work on this. I want to share some of the faces of our kids in the villages. Help us to be close of them for a long time
